I have no problem with them going to war, just the fact that the politicians have no plans to end anything. They try to dictate military action instead of just giving the military the "commander's intent." Let the military figure out how to do it's job.

LTC David Brown Where did you "remind" me of this especially when I myself have mentioned that no one should have been shocked at 9/11 after nearly 10 years of AQ attacking US interests?

So you think that it's ok to just make decisions based on emotions? You're telling me anytime you had command anywhere that's how you commanded? Wow.

And yet they say women are the emotional ones and we overreact. Smh.

SMSgt Mark Venzeio - What are you talking about? There's nothing about Trump in this post so I'm confused. I said that someone should have listened to Barbara Lee 20 years ago as the sole dissent in authorizing use of military force in Afghanistan - which has never expired and is so broad it's been used for action in 21 other countries.

Never said anything about Trump on this post. Trump has never been right about anything nor should anyone ever listen to him.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - Well, Trump was right about a lot of things, actually. But that's for another post.
The use of force in other countries is not just about Afghanistan itself, it's about chasing down those who were responsible for 9-11 and those who harbored them. Afghanistan was about preventing further attacks and retribution for those that had already occurred, and I'm okay with that.
