There is no excuse for indiscriminately firing into a building and I doubt you will find anyone on the left or the right in favor of it. However, when looking at who is actually killing people in our society in attacks, it is violent right leaning extremists many of whom are white nationalists.
This is similar to the the Antifa activists are terrorist argument. It is designed to take focus off of violent white nationalists.

As mentioned in the piece, if Jesse and Al are to be rejected as unelected leaders, we should be equally suspicious when conservative "leaders" are thrust upon us: leaders from nonprofits that use conservatives for self-enrichment.
