Been going down for a while. But to be clear, it was the number of people caught doing it that went down. We don't know the number who crossed illegally.

After reading the article I don't get what you said. It clearly stated the trend had been going up and it has reversed. With a stepped up focus you would expect them to catch a higher percentage thus a higher number. It went down. I will be happy to see us controlling our borders.

SSG Michael Tellekamp - The trend I was talking about was our estimates of overall new illegal immigration, particularly from Mexico. The trend the article talked about was immigration arrests going down. There are several reasons why immigration arrests may go down.

This has been overcome by recent events. Capture of illegal alien crossers has increased by more that 400 percent in the past 6 months. The “lull” is OVER. Invasion is on the rise.
