PO3 Bob McCord - Many have broken the bond between rights and responsibilities and that is truly tragic. How can we be trusted with liberty if we are unwilling to take responsibility for out exercise of those freedoms?
Back when I was working construction, most of the guys I worked with spoke Spanish as a first language. Most were great people...just looking for honest work, a better life, and willing to be treated like something less than human at times in order to do both. In many cases, I've yet to come across harder working people in my life.
That said, many, if not most were legal as well.
It's a shame that our leaders seem incapable of understanding that the issue of border security isn't about "xenophobia" or (when you really get down to it) "jobs". It's about the fact that there's a whole lot of people who view the U.S. as a "soft target" for everything from petty crime to felonies...even terrorism. We're so used to having our lives plastered on social media (irony noted), our credit history and criminal records available at keystrokes, and our own unique view of "civilized" behavior...we seem to forget how easy it is for someone to slip in and wreak havoc.

LCDR (Join to see) Well Said...and it also has to do with IT IS THE LAW. coming here ILLEGALLY is breaking the law. Whether you are from Japan, China, England, Australia, New Zealand and even MEXICO...but these folks all they can say...is FIRST they deserve to be here...No, they don't. Second thing I hear the most is...they do the jobs that American's Do not want to do...Okay, Great...but do it legally. Third thing I hear the most is...they are not hurting any one...they are good people. Well, great again...but do it LEGALLY. My mom, 3 of her 7 sisters...a couple of aunts all came here legally, waited a long time...took the classes...past the test and got sworn in. My great Grand parents came here and did the same... 1LT Sandy Annala
