Interesting PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. A few years ago I read that bussing was still a method for integrating in northern Virginia's affluent suburbs.
Up here every ethnic groups and language population is thriving in the schools and neighborhoods - of course we have the major gangs here to0o - bloods, crypts, MS13, etc.
School choice that allows parents to have a say in the choice is wonderful IMHO.
23 different middle school options may seem like a lot but it wasn't that long ago when there were only 2 - public and private
As long as people exist, there will be challenges of all sorts.
