The light at the end of the tunnel turned out to be a train, it's unlikely the Swedes will ever return to their norm for their culture. Good lesson to be learned, that's why controls on immigration exists, to manage the overall good of the nation while taking into account for those under duress.

The most insidious threat of attempting to absorb large numbers of people who harbor designs to "fundamentally change" you nation, your culture, or your government, is that they become voters and will succeed. Islam proclaims that it "will dominate" one day, is not an empty or idle threat. They are matching our receding fertility rates with their own proclivity of popping out children with abandon.

We always hope that the fundamental "goodness" of America will bring them around to assimilate at least to the extent that they recognize how good they have it, and they want to keep that "goodness" for their children. And historically, America has managed it. But, education. If we teach our children how BAD America is, all its foibles and none of its exceptionalism, we are not nearly as likely to gain that recognition in the first generation of American-born jihadists.

The Elite of Europe sold out to an agenda. They will retire wealthy like Hillary, Bill and Obama.
Populism is occurring for survival reasons. Some will become racist. But, chaos and racism is a big part of the global Nazism agenda. It brings change. With large central governments and control of speech.
Hitler would be proud of how the west has destroyed it's self to bring regions of power where the State is a god and ruled by a handful of seclected Marxists. How dare the peasants try to rule themselves. The nerve.
