Thanks for opening up this topic. Fascinating. The article was so perfectly anti-liberal, anti-Muslim, anti-PC; it didn't waste a word saying anything other than whatever would support the extreme Right pro-gun position. Very efficient. So I looked into the sources.
The article at CrimeResearch.org--which is just John Lott's outlet for his often-debunked pro-gun "research"--actually originated at Taki's Magazine, owned by the fabulously wealthy Greek socialite Neo-nazi white nationalist Taki Theodoroscopulos. The same Taki who supports the murderous Golden Dawn organization in Greece that adores Hitler and kills liberals.
One statement got my attention, saying that eight French policemen were attending the Bataclan concert without weapons because they all had the identical experience: They each had asked their wives if they should bring their guns to the concert, and the wives told them not to. Now THAT is interesting. I never thought of a policeman asking his wife for permission to carry his gun. Does that really happen? But all eight told the same thing to the band's lead singer, Jesse Hughes.
After this interview was published, Jessie Hughes retracted some of his positions and complained to the writer, Gavin McInnes, that the writer had aggressively led the interview to get the answers he wanted. Since McInnes is very often described as a rabid neocon bigot, I'm not surprised.
You asked why the "cops without guns" angle of the Bataclan story was not published in the media. The answer could be because it's too good to be true.
