I have lost no rights in my 78 years of life. None!
And neither has any other law abiding citizen.
We have the same rights as written in our Constitution.

MSG Stan Hutchison - If you live in a jurisdiction without zoning, yes, I think your neighbor should be able to open a garbage dump on his property. But I didn't say anything about the right to own/operate a garbage dump.
I didn't say you cannot collect rainwater. I said permission is required. That regulation varies from state to state, and runs the gamut of how it may be collected, how much may be collected, for what purposes it may be collected, how it must be stored, and in some places specifically where on your property it may be collected. Rain water collection is regulated in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, and Texas by state law. In addition, there are counties, too numerous to list here, that have regulations on the collection of rain water.

Maj John Bell - OK I stand corrected on rain water. However, if you look at the laws and the reason for them, it is understandable.
https://www.familyhandyman.com/article/collecting-rain-water-in-these-states-could-be-illegal/
'Back in 2012, one man in Oregon collected 13 million gallons of water and created three reservoirs on his property from rainwater harvesting. That’s right, man-made bodies of water created from his collecting."
That is his "rights" infringing on others.
In a nation of 330+ million people, those type laws are necessary, as are zoning, etc.

Is Collecting Rain Water Illegal? If You’re in One of These States, Maybe!
For most states, collecting rainwater (or "rainwater harvesting") is perfectly fine. But for others, there are stricter rules around it.

MSG Stan Hutchison - When has a law been passed or a regulation been written that was NOT justified as "for the good of the community?"
Particularly at local levels, there is often a quite a bit of neighborhood feud that goes into those "for the good of the community" ordinances and regulations. And even if the reasons may be "understandable" It is fairly common that those responsible for local enforcement have no understanding of the "understandable" reasons or what is reasonable enforcement. And quite frankly in many cases the "understandable" reason is nothing more than municipal revenue.

Maj John Bell - I will agree as to the "cause" for some regulations, but I also see the need for many of them.

CPT Bob Coleman, who has me blocked, posted:
"We can't meet in groups, can't attend church, cannot eat out in many places, can't send our kids to school, all sorts of guns are banned in many places (Taurus Judge in CA, for example) and MSG Hutchinson says we have lost no rights. . Incredible."
Most of those "rights" are safety concerns, as you well know. You spreading COVID is against my rights. Also, those are temporary laws, which will end when we all work together and put an end to this virus.
"All sorts of guns are banned in many places" (I assume you are referring to military style weapons) is once again your rights against my rights .
Balance must be found, compromise must be made. Simple.

SGT (Join to see) - As is "which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons."
As is "The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof,"
As is "No Person held to Service or Labour in one State, under the Laws thereof, escaping into another, shall, in Consequence of any Law or Regulation therein, be discharged from such Service or Labour, But shall be delivered up on Claim of the Party to whom such Service or Labour may be due."
There are many instances in our Constitution of statements without "wiggle room" but later to be found as in need of change.
Our founders trusted in our common sense enough to provide a means of modifying our Constitution.

MSG Stan Hutchison - If you can drum up the 2/3 of the States needed for a convention, go for it. In the mean time,"Shall NOT be Infringed"

SGT (Join to see) - In the meantime we leave it to the SCOTUS to determine the meaning of infringe.
