Hopefully most of the Army can do it without injury.

Only time will tell but more chances for injury than the old test.

If they really wanted a true test, why isn't it being done in "Battle Rattle"?

That's a comment I had for the survey I got regarding the APFT and ACFT. What good is a 2 mile tun in PTs and the belt. What good is doing these exercises in the lightest amount of gear possible. Why dont we imagine that the 19D's, 44C's and 88M's all had a convoy break down and you have to ruck march a distance. Oh crap there's incoming small arms fire so let's do a weapons qualification and timed buddy rush forward. Then vertical walls to climb as individual and team. Low obstacles to go under and then push off the ground to get up.
But actually maybe that's the point of PRT being started in PTS and eventually the duty uniform. The APFT and ACFT would be easy if we conditioned properly in PTs and capable of doing it all in gear. The tests would be a breeze then.
Sorry for the unintentional rant SGT (Join to see) !
