The sad thing is, that is just not LA.
The other day I stopped by the USCG Base in Alameda, CA.
When I left Coast Guard Island I headed towards Alameda proper. I had my window rolled down, but as I neared the waterfront park on the estuary the smell hit me.
I rolled up my window and saw the homeless encampment in the park. Hundreds of tents and about 40 beat up RV’s.
This is probably folks who have been priced out of the housing market in the Bay Area.
Housing is cheaper in the Valley, but there is less work. The Bay Area has work but the Dot Commers have driven housing costs through the roof.
It is just sad
