SFC William Farrell, apparently this story about eagles is untrue. They do not break off talons and beak and pluck feathers to live longer. It's a good lesson for humans, but this metamorphosis regarding eagles is totally fictional!

Eagles shed their feathers many times in their life which is painful in a manner similar to flaying skin.
God designed the eagle to fulfil its purpose in life and gave it instincts to survive.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL You young whooper snapper you! You'll get their someday God willing Joe. In my case a lot quicker! Sometimes we look at our lives going forward and sometimes especially at my age, we look at them in retrospect. What could I have done differently to make me a better person, a better husband, a better human being. Life is far too short Joe, do the things that yo want to do and those that make us all better people.
