PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, Operation Nimrod conducted by the British SAS was the quintessential counter terrorist operation. I've seen the live footage as well as documented reenactments, and those guys did not mess around.

Never heard of arabistan. Very interesting!

Dad was stationed in England at the time and we watched it live on tv. Years earlier, the same "crew" flew to Entebbe with the Israeli's as "advisors." The same "advising" was given a year later to West German GSG-9 at Mogadishu.

The movie "Who Dares Wins" was a cheesy way to get it onto the big screen. Not a "bad" movie as such, but a ton of B-actors and horrible script.
