Long history of it... Saddam gassed & bombed them... Turkey carries out active genocide (just like they did against Armenians)... Russians & Iranians practice contemptuous neglect... Syria mostly left 'em alone. Our ONLY true friends (other than Israel) in the Middle East and we treat them like lepers.

Turkey will crush any independent Kurdish state. They have said they will and I believe them.
The Kurds control much of Iraq's oil so they will need to move before the Turks.

WE won't be bombing them.., since "Kurdistan" spans Syria, Turkey, Iran, Iraq & a touch of the FSU it should be interesting.
