I love the Tuesday Morning Couch Quarterbacks. At the time with the information we had it was the right call. Sure in hindsight it cost more in lives and money than was worth it. It left a power vacuum that the terrorist have filled and destabilized the region further. On the moral statement we brought them democracy it is a bitter ruse as you can not force people to except a system of government they never had an interest in. But all that aside Saddam was a dick who murdered his own people and made threats he had WMD's. Since a WMD in that region posed a great threat from being used by him or falling into some terrorists hands they chose to go in. He really didn't help his cause as he kept strutting and mouthing off. He thought he was a big fish in a little pond and found out the hard way he was wrong.

At the end of the day you could say it was the right thing for the wrong reasons or the wrong thing for the right reasons.

But it is over and done, we need to learn from it. Sadly no one now days seems interested in learning from the past, only blaming everyone for the choices they made with the information they had.
