It boggles my mind that there are still people out there that have no clue and stereotype people. Vietnam vets went through the same thing and to some extent still do. As he states in the article; “You do what you feel is right for the country. Was approached by a young vet this morning about the same sort of thing, made a couple calls on his behalf. My ass occasionally gets chapped by the way some of the young troops/ vets with PTSD and TBI are treated. One of the biggest things I miss about being in the service is the ability to wade into shit and help folks more effectively. Some days being retired sucks.

Never would have expected that type of treatment from a first responder profession... a little shocking.
