As much as I hope the Iraqi military and police, et al, have their shit together to prosecute this conflict with little or no help from us, I really wish they hadn't telegraphed to Daesh or anyone else for that matter when they were going to strike. As noted below, street-by-street and door-to-door engagements will be deadly and interminable.
