Thanks for sharing PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. I concur with you that is seems to be an unfortunate situation.
I think this is an unintended consequence resulting from a push to remove Iraq from the travel ban.
Once the ban was lifted the US was free to make a deal with Iraq to send back some of those who emigrated to this country such as the Iraqi General Raied Jabou.
I hope that those being sent back were not properly vetted and are risks as opposed to those who sought asylum because they supported us while we were in Iraq. It is noteworthy that "One condition was that Iraq accepts nationals the US wants to deport. Iraq agreed."

Capt Dwayne Conyers Sad Situation. He was basically raised here in the US and getting deported for Smoking Weed to a Country where His Chances of Survival are Pretty Dicey being a Christian.
