Ironclad legacy: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, older than the nation and the Navy, turns 250

Most people do not know that it was originally built by the Brits, also many confuse it for Portsmouth Naval ship yard because it is actual in Portsmouth Virginia not Norfolk. We utilized Dry Dock 1 to deactivate the USS Mississippi after all these years the original docks are still in operation.
