Personally, I think it's politics. Mixing it with sports is proving disastrous.

Stopped watching any and all ESPN programming 1 year ago. Yes, politics and the double standard.

I deleted the ESPN app from my phone and no longer watch any ESPN programming. (I will watch actual games, if necessary) If I want politics or progressive activism, I'll tune in/browse a TV station/website that is dedicated to those messages. I watch and listen to sports to get away from that bs. Also, they've replaced too many professional sports reporters will illiterate or clueless ex-athletes. It's too hard to watch and listen.
