I'm going to respond "Yes" before reading the article because that is my belief. Not for sale by all, but by many of We the People, especially those who wish to exchange their freedom for freedom from responsibility. I'll respond to my own comment if this article sways me otherwise...
I've read it and now add obviously, this article is looking at this issue from another point of view, the actual purchase of votes. I can't respond without mentioning a sports metaphor that I believe fits the occasion. Gene Autry and George Steinbrenner both attempted to purchase championship baseball teams during an age in which the best teams were built from players who grew up in an organization. Living in Los Angeles during a better part of this age, I watched players like Davey Lopes, Bill Russel, Steve Garvey, et al grow up in the Dodge farm system and go on to win championships, while Autrey's Angels and Steinbrenner's Yankees struggled. Now we watch the Democrats outspending the GOP by 2:1 by some reports. We'll see how that works for them whenever the votes are counted and the results announced, especially inasmuch as the Democrats are fronted by the weakest team in my lifetime - Biden/Harris. Will they buy the election?
