From what I understand, the Army STARTED rolled sleeves. Why should other branches have it, but the army suddenly start thinking it's unprofessional? Unless the environment dictates otherwise, sun's out, guns out should be the policy in place.

I completely agree with your comment. Being new to the Army and only been around uniform standards with sleeves down. Will be interesting to see how the new policy pans out. Thanks for your response.

CPT(P) (Join to see) - It's just in test phase, don't get ur hopes up, if they do, it will be the Marine way, rolled outside, instead of the old BDU, with camp out.

This could be a good and/or a bad thing. The new OCP just came out, bringing back rolled up sleeves with the new uniform can give the feel of a complete new look. In the down side not everyone will like it, especially those who have not been in long enough to have experienced rolled up sleeves with BDUs. I would say that it should be made as an option for hot areas and seasons.

Back in the days of BDU's soldiers were allowed to roll up their sleeves ONLY if your BN Commander allowed it. Sadly, my unit was not allowed to roll our sleeves
