This poor guy's not playing with a full deck of cards...No glory or honor in engaging someone with these issues.

I do not think it is. The guy has issues. This is about on par with a ten year old dressing up in uniform. I am on the fence on the stolen valor issue. If people are trying to pass themselves off as something they are not for personal gain such as money, gifts, and other free stuff or opportunities then Yes, it is stolen valor and just plain old theft. The crazy guy in Clarksville, TN walking around talking to himself in ACUs is not a case of stolen valor nor is my son wearing my old uniforms hunting but some say it is. There are active duty thieves using the uniform for free stuff, telling lies about their service, wearing medals they did not earn, and many get a pass because they serve. The guy here acts like he is disturbed and is living out a fantasy. Anyone taking him seriously is truly ignorant. I do not think he is a threat. If he previously served and walked away disturbed like he is then he needs help.

CW4 Scott Hyde, Those are the worse scumbags. They make fools out of the people who believe in them. They speak at public functions, go to VA cemeteries and become involved with the family sometime, and actually attend the funetals. I have a story on my Posted Phonies and Liars blog, that a scumbag posing as a wounded vet, took money from a kid who had been saving his money to donate to Wounded Warriors. You ought to go to that blog and see just how many scumbags that are out there every day.

He got a bad conduct discharge for drugs. Compliments of a USAF general court martial. Deserved NOTHING. On his own, sink or swim. Cause and effect.
