Finally the retirement of this ground troop friendly aircraft has been slowed, if not halted. Tankers everywhere rejoice!

I really do not understand the continued push to get rid of the A-10. I remember the attempt to get rid of it prior to Desert Storm. As the A-10 did back then, it is once again proving its worth. There are many things that continually prove worthless in the military, yet are kept. Russia is once again flexing its muscles in Europe. Another theater that the A-10 would serve the U.S. well.

MSgt (Join to see) It's simple, the A10 flies low and slow. The fighter mafia abhors the ground attack mission, while we ground troops love that aircraft especially tankers who view it as a tank buster.
