When I wrote my book on the Korean War, I focused a lot on the refugees. I hadn't planned it that way. They simply crept into my story uninvited. Watching video from the Russo-Ukraine War, you can't help but see their plight. Families divided with some members fleeing to Russia and others behind Ukrainian lines. Then there are those who are frozen with indecision, not knowing which family members to follow. BTW, there are many Ukrainian propaganda channels on YouTube. I look for Polish, French, and Japanese sources that are featuring contemporaneous video and commentary.
