You know I was going to respond to this! But I can't. I'm tired of people who incorrectly assume things about me because I am a white, male, Christian. We're not as bad as you may think. Try getting to know us. We might even become friends.

Maj John Bell - No I have a need to challenge Dogma or Staid thinking. I think you are a pretty Awesome Officer I am just confused that you feel threatened by even the question. Just my Nature to question a lot of things. I was a Navy Electronic Troubleshooter and it just how I operate and learn.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I appreciate the questions you bring to the table, and that you challenge my perceptions of the world. But to quote the great British Philosopher, Mary Poppins, "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down".

Maj John Bell - Yeah unfortunately I'm a Salty Dog, My Father was the Salesman the Winer/Diner I never mastered his Social Skills which is a bit rough, I'm probably Borderline Asperger's so I'm much better with Equipment than I ever will be with Human Beings.

Maj John Bell - There probably is a Reason the Navy Locked me in Safes by myself for 21 years away from Normal People. The life of a Spook.

Here's my problem. I never thought about race before I went to boot camp. It was just other kids. I never thought race when I went to boot camp. It was just fellow Sailors/Corpsman/Marines. I remember when I got to the Marines, a Marine called his Platoon Sgt an Uncle Tom. I had absolutely no idea what was going on. I see people based on who they are, and what they do. I don't care what color you are, what name you call God (or if you believe at all), what your political views are, or whether you served or not (though I do admit to a bias there). If that makes me a bad person, then so be it.

I think you are spot on Doc Fries. I do wonder though "Thou do Protest too much". When you have problems looking inside or outside and say yeah we aren't quite where we need to be and we all need to work on it. When you feel threatened by even the question, Why. Now that Uncle Tom thing is a Bit Harsh but I think every culture has some similar term, In my Educated German Culture we will call you an Emil Maurice, Hitler's Part Jewish Driver and Personal Bodyguard.

I don't know. I think we are all a Product of our Environment and it is what shapes our World View.

Negative on that one. The only people that bring this trash up are those who are looking to stir up the pot to piss everyone off, or they have an agenda.
