JBLM soldier shoots Apache helicopter with live rounds, grounding California exercise

This is Insane.. Thankfully he shot the Helo and not someone on the ground. How do you not notice your own BFA being shot off the end of your Rifle? How do you not notice the 4 live rounds you just loaded into your mag with the blanks? Who shoots at an Apache with a Rifle to begin with? What damage do you expect to get? Add in your shooting "blanks" so its a waste.

I know we all have that "One guy" in your unit who just doesn't have it together but this seems like so much fail it should have been drummed out along time ago.
