I drove one in Germany. I loved it. Those things would go anywhere. I would love to have one now.

I haven't had the pleasure yet, but I want to. I'd like to find a kit for one and see if I could build it. I doubt my wife would agree with it since I'm not exactly mechanically inclined, but hey, I need to have something to get angry about. :)

Miss driving the old Jeeps. Loved the M151A3 I drove. It was retired and replaced with a Hummer.

SPC Jeffrey Frusha - It had an additional adaption installed, can't remember what it was though. Would still like to have the old girl.

So far, all I see different is the ROPS - Roll Over Protection System, which was a simple bolt-on. The M151A2 I drove had S3 coms in it, with 2 of the corner post whips. Later, I remember everyone making plywood caps, to replace the crappy canvas, but I never got the ROPS.
At NTC (Ft. Irwin, I remember coming to a halt, throwing rooster-tails of sand, going uphill, popping her out of gear, throwing the handbrake and jamming my foot into the ground, to hold her upright. Had someone hand my camo nets and poles on the front-right fender, so I could get her on up that dune.
Funniest thing I ever did was drive with 1 front wheel, when all the other prop-shafts got eaten by sand, while waiting for resupply.
