SALRADIO participated in today's media conference with Army head football coach Jeff Monken. Coached covered:
- Taking care of cadets top priority - We can control attitude, effort - Coaches meeting daily on game planning, etc -Players encouraged to focus on online classes they are doing. - Online classes hard, support staff less available remotely. - Players sent workout plans to do daily - Nutrition plans sent. - Injury rehab being done at facilities near player homes. - Impact of losing spring practice significant, some schools already conducted. - A minimum amount of time is needed to prepare players to play a season, normally it is 4-5 weeks. - Recruiting, can not bring prospects to Post, no Spring Game to have them attend. - QB Jabari Laws injured in VMI game is doing well in recovery. - Tremendous respect for Army National Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, Army medical staff working to fight virus.
