Sorry for long posting! Seemed so much to convey. GIST: Wonder how many of you know of Sophie & Hans Scholl & the White Rose German 'student' anti-Nazi resistance? And - DISCLOSURE - would like to hear an inspiring 75th Anniversary multimedia lecture 'performance' about them with which I'm criss-crossing the country - "Speaking Truth to Power: The White Rose Resistance - And Heroes in the Fight for Freedom Today." I tell their story with stirring music, 80 compelling slides, & suspenseful storytelling, with theatrical techniques.

I have a special affinity to the Armed Services because my Dad was a Chief Squadron Navigator in the Aleutian campaign - a difficult job since there were constant white-outs & it was his task to get the entire squadron out & back safely, along with honing in on targets - with a mountain rising at the end of a short runway. And all without radar! (When he saw the moon, he'd say, 'Oh, you beauty!")

Sadly, I've NEVER been invited to do it for the military (whether an elite school or any other venue), even tho I broke thru an Arab Block barrier to do the 1st lecture on the Holocaust ever held at the UN, when I also called out against their abandonment of the innocent to Serbian fascist mass murder (they withheld my $50 honorarium because "I was supposed to have been neutral." Ugh. And - believing one must 'walk the walk' not just 'talk the talk' - volunteered to work undercover as a young man for Poland's "Solidarity" Freedom Movement in 1982, just months after the Communist Declaration of Martial Rule & the sealing of Poland's borders - getting out without being arrested or losing my research material - & reporting to Radio Free Europe's Poland Desk.
