Not news really. I will say I worked in our schools for 9 plus yrs. They never shut it down more then a couple of days. But again, we didn't have to worry about covid. I got it after I retired back in 2020. Real sick for 8 days. My wife just had a cough. So, it's be safe and keep the little ones safe.

GySgt Jack Wallace Over 98% people who had Covid recovered from it, Covid gives the strongest immunity of anything to those who endure it. Imo, destroying childrens’ educational progress, families/ & relationships, a great # of businesses and chaos nationwide was not worth having the Lockdown. https://www.webmd.com/covid/covid-recovery-overview
Most people who get COVID-19 will have mild illness. But it’ll still take time to recover. Learn more recovery and tips for feeling better after COVID-19.

Sgt (Join to see) - It all depends on your immune system. Before I retired several of the PO I worked with not only got covid but had to be place in the hospital and on a ventilator. Shutting down a school for a week or two just keeps everyone safe.

This school district isn't far from my house, but closing schools because of the Flu certainly isn't anything new in Kentucky. Partly because we are far enough South that Flu Season starts in the Summer because in August, it's 95 degrees and the humidity 85%. Outdoor sports and recreation slow down and everyone moves indoors. That's compounded by the fact that we started school already. Nothing to see here.
