Putin can strangle the EU/NATO since they are stuck with only being able to buy Natural Gas from Russia. I doubt sanctions will do much since he can shut the valve on Western Europe or jack up prices at will but the extreme- left Green Party in Canada, EU and the USA won't allow a LNG terminal be built in Eastern Canada to supply Europe and not be intimidated by the NEO USSR. Putin won't allow this video spoof of him in Russia. He has imprisoned many or poisoned some (one with Cesium-137) and jailed one oil company owner probably because he wanted his Billions for himself. Putin, Iran, North Korea and even China are threats to the free world. You know he wants the Ukraine (he has already stolen Crimea) and the Baltics (now part of NATO) even though the Baltics were part of Russia's August, 1939 pact with Adolf Hitler. (Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact)Russia is not peaceful. Its a Mafia Military Nuclear Power

I have a feeling that much of our efforts in the ME are related to the Persian Pipeline - We are trying a number of avenues to control the energy market in Europe - in part to have the leverage put as well in part for the money. In taking Crimea, Putin gained a sea of fuel reserves. Resources in the Black Sea, are estimated between 4-13 trillion cm of natural gas. Seems that our approach was to play nice with Iran - tap that gas and then send it to Europe via a pipeline that would cut across Iraq and Syria into Europe via ports in Syria or continuing by pipeline through Turkey. War - money - and resources in no particular order. Putin doing the same game .

Correct LTC (Join to see) , I recently listened to" A Very Expensive Poison ", which was the cesium 137 you referred to. Putin will manipulate any situation he can.
