They give a physical exam and ask detailed questions about your medical history. Any issues are followed up on. A Dr. reviews all medical screenings and signs off. They have very strict gvt guidelines on what can and cannot be donated. In addition they test the plasma to determine the presence of any objectional contents each time you donate. As an example if I get a tattoo, I cannot donate for 4 months. Generally the age limit for donations is 65 or so, but I got a waiver at my ripe old age based on otherwise good health..Check it out.

Capt Tom Brown Thank you for posting and more importantly, thank you for the gift of life! My friends get to see their children, witness the healing plasma brings, get off the ventilator and breath fresh air! You are making an incredible difference! So much better than a few words typed in a random post. This is what it means to walk the walk, and spend time in my boots. I wish you could meet them all. Us all.
