The girl was an arrogant, entitled little snot. But still… was that trip absolutely necessary?

I used to ride the metro and subway in LA. I can’t speak to this incident, but I’ve experienced rude individuals who put their feet on seats. Not only does it dirty the seats, but it precludes others from sitting on them. Asking to remove their feet from the seats (and you’re not a cop), results in rude comments, stares, and/or totally ignoring you. The military in me wants to grab them by the ankles and give them a yank (to get their attention as they sit on the floor). The realistic me responds by sitting down, feet or no feet.

Where should the officer draw the line? He asked her multiple times. She actively refused. People who defend this behavior are teaching these kids that it is ok to do whatever you want regardless of society's rules. These, of course, will be the same people who scream "why?" and "where are the police?" when kids start shooting in schools or malls or subways.
