God forbid that we should screw up spacing in documents. How can we survive that?

It's simply a matter of replacing one habit with another when you begin using more modern equipment. You wouldn't manually reload a semi-auto rifle the way you do with a bolt action, would you?

I mean, the whole planet would positively spin off its axis, ya know? Continents would topple into the sea, the tectonic plates would shift, the San Andreas fault would slip...chicken little, the sky would fall in, or something....

You may have to "explain" it again and again to this jarhead. I still use double-space. Have used it since I started using a type-writer. You'll even notice that I used them here on RP! ;)

Interesting! All my double spaces in the above message are now gone. RP must pass text through a CPT Jack Durish inspired space correction algorithm or something. :D

CR, CR, LF. I got so much in the habit that I did it at the end of the line on a standard typewriter while copying CW.
