The important question is whether he was made a 'soldier' postmortem? The French authorities seem to beleive that "has absolutely no links to jihadist networks, or Islamist radicals."

I saw a small piece on this yesterday, they cannot find his travel to any of the isis camps and are still looking to see if he was radicalized at home. I suspect this is the group taking credit for something they had no involvement in.
