Total crap. I learned a hell of a lot more graduate school and law school than I did in basic training. Military training is training for combat and national defense, which are certainly important things for POTUS, but nowhere near the only important things. Law school, on the other hand, is training for government, whets executive, legislative or judicial branch.
This article shows the current wave of anti-intellectualism. Call me an elitist if you want, but I want my POTUS and VP to be the most educated, smartest guys and gals in th room, not just the ones who have a military background. Military background is a nice thing on th resume at that level, but law school, house or senate experience, gubernatorial experience and former cabinet positions are far, far more important and relevant resume items.

SFC(P) (Anonymous) - No it doesn't, but it helps a lot more than basic military training does.

In Law School you must pass the course on Billing Hours. You must also take a course on Ethics but you can fail without consequences.
