Um, wow, where is his sheet with the pillow case hat? He should maybe have just shut up? Better for him to let people think he was a racist than to open his mouth again and remove all doubt. His clarification sounds more racist than his initial remark, who would have thought that possible.
Do I love America? Of course I do. Do I think that we have done more in our 240 years of being a nation than anyone else? No. Do I think that we have room to improve? Yes I do. If he had meant to say America has done more for civilization, then he should have said it that way. At least then he would just sound like a proud American. He started with White People, changed to Western Civilization, and then went to America specifically. Sounds to me like he was backtracking to a point where he might be forgiven the original comment.

Worked out great!!! Take land from indigenous people, hire by force some others to do the work for you, beat the hell out of the hired help at will, and tell everyone "we did YOU a favor coming here". Said NO. INDIAN. EVER.

America was built on the back of Slavery and the Caucasians were the ones to begin slavery (as in the people from the Caucuses mountains or as they are known today the Khazarian Jews). There are a lot of things they attribute to white people creating that were actually created by blacks.

LT Charles Baird - Sir I won't doubt you one bit, but in his case, it was the level of arrogance he displayed that drove me up the wall. I'm sure the Chinese were in love with him while working laying track. It's not even a PC thing. This was a rub in folks faces that he KNEW would incite a response, and his "walkback" to justify why he said it. I really don't care about anyone's race being I'm STILL 43 years later looking for a PURE black man or woman. Can't find one at all. Maybe I need to put a BOLO on the side of Milk cartons like they used to when looking for missing folks. Maybe I'll get a two for one deal.....find a pure black man AND see if he can swim to Alcatraz.
