TSgt Joe C. legendary and iconic, good read and share. I remember this vividly. The Lawrence Welk Show was a blessed island of calm in a world gone mad for rock and roll, and it aired like clockwork every Saturday night from 1955 to 1982.

Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that Lawrence Welk was born on Mar 11, 1903 in rural North Dakota. The Lawrence Welk Show was indeed a calming influence.

Wish we knew about “The Rush” of Life back then....as we grew much older!
Stress grabbed many of us ....
I now have Apps to sooth the stress from time to time.....
