On May 18, 2016 Michael Kaplan had the pleasure of teaching "Using LinkedIn to Increase Visibility and Opportunity" training seminar at the University of South Carolina Aiken's School of Business. The program was hosted by the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce.

The amount of resources needed to advance a career, build industry influence and develop a continual stream of new opportunities may be out of reach for those with a limited budget. The LinkedIn Network is a powerful, professional platform for growing a network in the digital age, especially if the member depends on a strong reputation, network relationships and referrals. This training seminar will provide participants with the skills to navigate LinkedIn and unlock the benefits it can bring to any individual desiring to succeed, progress and generate a world of unlimited opportunities.

It is very nice to see you posting once again on RallyPoint COL Mikel J. Burroughs.
I have been on Linked in for many years and although I am not gainfully employed I still support others who are with encouragement and endorsements.

Great post sir. It is unbelievable how networking really plays into the job market. The days of turning in a resume alone are over, and it makes sense. If I turn in my resume you only know what I wrote an hope it's true. But if someone knows me and knows you, your trust of that person weighs in on the perceived risk of hiring me. LinkedIn is s great networking tool if used properly. I myself am always trying to improve my LinkedIn page so from me personally, thank you for sharing this.
