Liz Peek: Mr. Trump, make a magnanimous gesture and award McCain the Medal of Honor

So, a shill for the anti-Trump faction has decided to make the Medal of Honor a "participation trophy". I hope this is one issue on which we who serve/served can put aside our political differences and come together, and demand, "Hell No! You will not politicize our most esteemed medal for valor!" It may be that John McCain deserves such an award, that he "earned" it. If so, prove it, just as every other MoH has been documented. Collect eye witness statements, not the political stories that festoon the Internet, propagated by McCain's friends and foes. But, to award one just as a "compassionate and respectful gesture might also help to heal some deep wounds in the Republican Party" is the kind of thing that someone would say if they have no respect for the MoH and those who earned it. Indeed, I can think of no better way of disrespecting those who have earned it than to politicize it, can you?
