Interesting idea, but I'm not sure how feasible it is, given the issues with the F-35 as they are.

Military industrial complex will pitch just about anything. Heck, Congress could be crazy enough to let Pentagon buy it!

if it is true that the F35 is just another MBT70, then yes, maybe we should take what works and make a rock solid aircraft in the way we made the M1 abrams from the MBT70. The real question is, how much of failure/success is the F35/F22.

SSG (Join to see) the F-22 is an OUTSTANDING airframe. There's nothing in the air that can match it right now.
