Long Haul Trucker Was 'Completely Seduced' By The Open Road

I wasn't able to go into the interview, but I doubt what Mr. Murphy said. I myself embarked on many an open road adventure, to include about a half dozen north/south cross country runs. Additionally during my time as an Army truck driver in the Reserves, I had a few opportunities to be paid to hit America's open roads putting thousands of miles beneath my M915A5.

Before my Army time, I worked the truck gate at the Frigidaire freezer plat in St. Cloud Minnesota, and got to meet a lot of interesting drivers from all over the country. In fact, I once met a fellow from Ireland who took a 10 year leave of absence (nice benefit if you can get it!) just to drive OTR in the United States!

So yes, I believe in the seductive power of the wide open road.
