I loved this show when I was a kid. I had the fortune of meeting Tom Sellick when visiting Hawaii. He is a nice person, so I am already hesitant to watch this. It is no secret that hollywood has few if any originality left, but it is wyrd to me seeing all these old shows being rebooted.

I am a total faithful to the old school stars. Dallas, Lethal Weapon, etc. for me, they aren't the same without my generation stars.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard In this case I agree. To me the dynamic between John Hellerman (Higgins) and Tom Selleck (Magnum) is what made the show great. I am waffling as to whether I want to watch this, like a train wreck or a plane crash: morbid curiosity may get the better of me. I was excited for the Battlestar Gallactica Reboot, until about three episodes in when it became apparent that the creators had failed in epic fashion to recreate the spirit of the show. I was so disappointed. I was not excited about the SWAT reboot, but I watched because I liked Shemar Moore's character on Criminal Minds. I have enjoyed watching that one. Hawaii 5-0 is a take it or leave it show. The new MacGuyver is alright, though I was pissed that they didn't bring back Richard Dean Anderson at least in a cameo.

I actually liked the reboot of Lethal Weapon (until they fired the actor that plays Riggs).... Magnum PI is sooooo Iconic, though, might be tough... I'll probably watch it a bit to see if it is any good.
