Wow! We really need to have a few weeks of personal finance in High School. I gave my son an Amex card tied to my card when he was 15. My 13 year old daughter has one too.
W the charge card I set their limits. Help them budget and talk w them when they over charge.
My son joined the Air Force and got his first card on his own from USAA. His credit score is 735 at 18.
As a parent, I teach them about budgeting, credit, and investments. Also health, making consumer choices, iT, etc... in fairness, im also a recovering Wall Street Analyst so finance is my career.
