If Marksmanship instructor were a primary MOS I could buy it. Since it is not, then I won't buy fitness instructors as a primary yet.

That may be a better way to go with this program. Mcmap instructors and Marksmanship instructors are not a primary MOS so this should not be either.

As a counterpoint, we have a MUCH more formalized weapon instruction program, which is fully embedded into our culture, and I would argue that our "Gunner" aka Infantry Weapons Officer (MOS 0306) is a PMOS which is "assisted by" the AMOS/SMOS of 8530/8531/8532 resp.

I'm not implying that the Gunner is fully responsible for Marksmanship or any sort... but he's the resident expert on weaponry and marksmanship is the corresponding skill.

OK, I give up. Instead of trying to make my head explode with all this coom by yah (don't know how to really spell it) BS, somebody shoot me. It will be much quicker and kinder than spending my days drooling in the corner cause these kinds of proposals broke my brain.

This is interesting.
There has never been a shortage of fitness oriented Marines in the Corps, usually from Drill Instructors or just plain PT studs. An entire MOS dedicated to fitness may be a bit much.
