I knew a Junior Aide de Camp. He told me "As long as it is military, legal, moral, ethical, doesn't come out of my pocket, doesn't require "Flag horsepower" and keeps him doing "Flag Stuff" I do it instead."

I have read a couple of articles on this now, and I have yet to find the “so what.” Just about everything on that list is stuff I’ve seen ADCs do for their generals as a matter of course over my entire career. If this is actually an issue, then maybe there ought to be a joint ADC course to tell prospective aides exactly what their duties and what they are not. I don’t know General Uribe from Adam, but right now my gut tells me that the IG wanted him for something a bit more juicy than this (but couldn’t prove it) and had to settle for technical violations that are more or less common practices with generals.

Found this, 1LT Sandy Annala! I never served as a general’s aide, so I have no personal comments I can offer. This is the Officer/Enlisted Aide Handbook.

Don’t know how many of you know how huge Siemens is, but I picked up the CEO at the airport, I was a fairly high paid salesman. I reached for his luggage and the response was, “I pay you to sell switches, not carry bags.” Grouchy old fart, but he definitely got my respect.
