Marine Squad Leader Who Died in Vietnam Awarded Navy Cross

Nice to see that all the hard documentary work by the awardee's comrades and family had a positive result, even fifty years later. I'm confident that wherever Cpl Austin's spirit is (he's probably a guard NCO in heaven), he will appreciate this recognition. So will his family - receiving Cpl Austin's Navy Cross will do something to lessen the loss they must still feel.

One really has to admit, that Marines do take care of their own. His brothers in arms made sure he was properly taken care of.
