This is how you get rogue units. Good job shit bird. Encourage breakdown of order and discipline.

SFC James Cameron - Please note, you haven’t explained how a Congressman reiterating the fact that illegal orders aren’t to be followed (following the Presidents’ recent public threat of ordering illegal attacks) is anything similar to how a Taliban shadow government operates.

To answer your questions. Yes, I have. Fortunately, never in my experience, did anyone that I work with/for issue orders that I even considered even remotely illegal, and I wasn’t put to the test of ‘do I/don’t l?”, in the heat of the moment.

To ask you a follow on. Do you have any experience with Taliban shadow governments? Are you aware of how they operate? Because I can assure you, they are quite a bit worse than an elected official in the legitimate, recognized government who reiterates to service members that is their legal responsibility to not follow unlawful orders.

What are you calling an illegal order? A legitimate military target is a legitimate military target.

It seems you aren’t at all familiar with how MQ1 support or any precision strike works. It’s not like there is a joystick in the whitehouse and the The President is flying around looking to drop bombs on terrorists. The request is sent up to either be authorized or denied. Which means it has gone through MANY levels of approval before it even gets to that point. For that kind of request, there has to be PID. For PID there has to be eyes on. So no, I don’t think you do at all.

Any Leader that has embedded with indigenous forces or had to deal with unit operations knows full well about taliban shadow governments in Afghanistan. Furthermore in RC East we had to deal with haqqani as well. I’m quite familiar with their tactics of undermining, sowing confusion, and spreading fear - hence the similie. That little comparison using “like” or “as”...

SFC James Cameron - threatening to target cultural sites; that’s a Violation of the Geneva conventions and also a violation of DoD policy.

I understand direct targeting better than you might think. But if I don’t understand direct targeting, precision strikes, MQ1/MQ9, etc, please enlighten. What role does the RDO play in the process?

Touché. It seems I made an assumption and the crow is cold. Speaking from experience, opening a RAS was our primary concern on the ground when we requested CAS.

To the threats and bluster; you know it is just that, right? President Trump will talk shit right back other world leaders. I sincerely doubt that there are TRPs for targets of cultural significance. You should take into consideration that just about every palm grove, rock, and shrub has gained some kind of cultural significance over the last 3000 years there.

Well met.

I've found that politicians who have D behind their name typically choose D before any thing. D has become their religion and D is the only thing that matters to them. I don't sweat an idiot who chooses party over the Constitution. It's obvious he's putting D before his Creator, Country, and Corps and has forgotten his oath. JJDIDTIEBUCKLE

Being a member of congress, does not by position alone, mean they are a person of good character.

"We, the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution." - Abraham Lincoln

Sounds like Leavenworth will have to expand to house all the new prisoners.
