Hey, if some Pastafarian can keep her pasta strainer on for hers based on religious rights.....then good on this Marine.

On the fence on this one. I say good job. He should be allowed to wear it but I can see where a hat does cause trouble since this is his form of ID to cash a check and so on. I recall no Military ID allowed us to wear a cover so I see his point but also the point of the DMV.

PO2 Mark Saffell, the beauty of being in the military is that, generally speaking, there were no exceptions allowed so everyone was treated in equal manner. Problems arise when one group of people is exempted over another.
