The Key word here is New! Marine Cyber Warriors have been around longer than the Term. The operated Nonchalantly Undercover so to speak as part of Marine Radio Battalions and/or the Naval Security Group. The NSG was disestablished and replaced by the Navy Info Warfare Command and now I hear Rumors of something called 10th Flt. The Names Constantly Change but the Game is still the same.

long ago ... someone higher up decide Marine is an expeditionary fighting force, and leave IT stuff to the sailors in Navy instead.

Not quite. I don't see the blue Navy guys doing anything other than protecting Ships and Shore Commands. Your Navy networks are also separate from the MCEN and the tactical networks that we employ. Defense is depth across ALL SERVICES is required to maintain Cybersecurity from outsider/insider threats.

MGySgt James Forward - Did I said anything about Marine don't do anything at all? I just saying, Marine don't have cyber force because some where along the way, someone high up think that is not needed or passed on to navy IC guys for cost saving or whatever reason it is.
